HRE Wheels | Re-Introducing the G.O.A.T. - 20th Anniversary of the HRE 540!

The 540 Series is one of the most iconic wheel styles we’ve ever created. Originally launched in the late ’90s, the 540 Series quickly became one of HRE’s hottest sellers on cars like the E46 M3, Porsche 996 Turbo and C5 Corvette.

To commemorate our 40th Anniversary in 2018, we’ve revived just the 540 mesh style, re-engineering it to work with today’s most exclusive sports cars and SUVs, bringing a little bit of the 90’s back to enjoy.

The result is a better 540 ready to take on the next 20 years.

While you're reintroducing wheels, how about reintroducing the SC line....

If you're referring to the P40SC line, it has been available all this time just FYI, it was never discontinued. It's a retired wheel line, meaning it's an older style,
but it's still currently for sale.

So when are you ordering your set then?

Well then I guess you must be ecstatic then

Yes of course we can do them for an M5, we can do them for almost any car you'd like since we machine these wheels to order.

Flange/Lip differences between each model can be seen here.

Here are the lips side by side so you can more easily see the differences between each flange style.
HRE 540

HRE 540C

HRE 540R

Which is your favorite?

Pardon my ignorance - I am very familiar with HRE's prestige, but have not bought an M car since the E46 M3 almost 15 years ago. So I have not owned a car with ZCP wheels such as an F80 or F90 (MY19). How do the HREs compare to the wheels available in the comp pack of the BMW M cars?

Very good question! Certainly nothing wrong with Forged wheels that come from BMW, most just don't want the same style that everybody else does, rather HRE owners wanted to add wheels not just for a performance upgrade, but more importantly they wanted to set themselves aside from the rest of the pack and truly made their M car something unique to them!

There's lots of talk about Individual BMW colors and custom options, why not the same for wheels? Since BMW cannot make 50+ wheels styles for each car, that's where we come into play

Probably my favorite wheel style of all time. Often imitated, never duplicated...

HRE 540 with Satin Black Center, Gloss Black Outer, and Gloss Red Fasteners!

How would you fashion your HRE 540? So many colors to choose from, what would you do? See the color list below the 540 photos!

Post up what color combinations you would do!

Thanks to Wheels Boutique for the awesome photos of a set of 19" HRE 540 Wheels in Brushed Gold with a Polished Outer installed on a well deserving BMW E46 M3!

What do you think of the Brushed Gold Finish here?
