How quiet will you be able to make an M2C?

With all the individual settings for throttle, steering and exhaust now available for the M2C will there be a way to dial the exhaust noise down to a "quiet mode" while making the steering heavy and the throttle ///M sharp? Sometimes I like to kick back after a long day at work and listen to some unfettered by engine noise Paul Simon or Kenny G (smooth jazz). Plus have some conference calls with senior execs between offices and not sound like a nob.

You think I am trolling but I am not. Seriously, I know someone is going to say I'm shopping for the wrong car if I dislike loud exhaust but I love every aspect about performance when its time to go fast. When its time to cruise no. Active sound delete will be the first mod right after rev match disablement. Love the solitude of my 128i cabin.

Throttle response is linked to the exhaust.
Just how it is.
you can have the heavier steering but not the sharper throttle response without some extra noise

I was hoping you could mix and match old comfort mode exhaust noise with steering and throttle response individually based on the press release. I guess not.

It's the same as the M3... Exhaust note and throttle are the same button.

One of the threads around here has a guy modding a ton of sound dampening into his M2 with foam and stuff.

Im sure once you get rid of the heinous ASD you'll be fine.

Just make sure you find a way to get rid of ASD and you will be good.

Just what I was thinking. Install an ASD bypass harness.

I don’t think you’ll have an issue. I had an M4 and constant open valves on stock exhaust, no drone. It’s a pretty quiet ride with stock Michelin’s. If you keep it stock, you won’t have any issues. Modern BMW’s have a decent amount of sound dampening.

Thats good to know, thanks. Drone is definitely something I'd want to avoid. I do recall that the M2 has a lot of sound deadening insulation removed vs the M240i? I wonder if it (M2C) has less sound deadening than the M4.

Regardless guess I'll just have to wait and take it for a test drive to know for sure.

I doubt it has less. From what I’ve read regarding the weight of the M2 comp, it’s a healthy, well fed car haha

Best of luck
