Exhaust Mods

I’ve had the car for about 6 weeks, came from a 15 E63S, and I love everything about the car. As I’ve seen from others the exhaust sound needs some improving and a more aggressive sound.

I’m exploring options.
Is the easiest mod the resonator delete?
Can dealers install the M performance exhaust?
Is anyone (like Dinan) doing an aftermarket system?

You can install as well sports catted down pipes.
No smell of fumes and louder than stock exhaust without any chance of drone inside the car.
I personally prefer catless dp with catless secondary dp.
Since I am getting an aftermarket tune as soon as it becomes available the engine light will disappear as well.

Go remove your resonator and your 2nd cats. It wont give you any dash lights and will tone up to car to sound much better, louder, and will give you more pops, basically the 'sport exhaust system' that is on the Competition Edition.

No need to do any new down pipes or after market exhaust. It should cost you around $100-$200 depending on which muffler shop you go too.

I had an F10 M5 ZCP with the M performance Exhaust and I really love it, one of the best sounding M5s I had ever heard, I still regret selling it, but for 10k its not cheap by any means

Bmw always investigates what caused the problem. If it was a mod to the car, than they void the warranty. But if you do exhaust modifications and something happens for example to your breaks don't mean entire warranty is void. The problem has to be related to the mod you did.

You wont have any warranty concerns unless the problem is specific to the exhaust or the exhaust caused the issue.

I've done so many muffler deletes and resonator deletes and even gone catless and never had issues with my dealers.
