F90 M5 vs 2017 GTR

I will save you almost 12 minutes of your life:

Start at 11:50.

Not a surprising outcome. R35 GTR's stink in the roll - especially stock, and even bolt on. Mid-top end is not their strong suit. MPH is also quite obviously in the M5's favour.

Wow. Cool your jets my friend. I’m glad you are a GTR fan.
This was a stock for stock comparison. Stock GTRs stink in rolls - even at bolt on level (I would say FBO E85 is okay in the roll). Being fair - yhe F90 has also been quicker and faster than any major North American R35 magazine tested car to the 1/4 (ET and trap speed).

As the F90 has tapped anywhere from 127-129 MPH - you will need a tune and exhaust GTR to keep up - and that is a crazy thing - as this is a four door 16 plus foot family luxury GT car.

That was the point.

That is a pretty big deal as the HC's can have some significant MPH (128+) - so holding it and pulling in a roll gives a nice indicator of the F90's power...

The title says:

So ya, I am comparing. And there is no comparison, the GTR IS THE BETTER PERFORMANCE CAR.

No one other than c&d seems to be able to get consistently into the 10s on a stock m5 and keeps getting beat in comparisons against the e63s that lost against the GTR.

At least quote accurately. First R&T and CD both have the car in the 10's - and MT had it as an 11.1 - on 91 OCTANE. MPH - is also higher than ANY stock R35 tested by these magazines. It is the quicker and faster car stock.

GTR's - stock - stink in the roll. Mid-top end is their weakness. Even a bolt on car. Only E85 FBO cars - start - to have some MPH and better top end. Only aftermarket turbo setups is where you see the domination against other cars - and that is a lot of coin to do right (versus low torque tunes that don't even use the turbos in the car). Forged internals, at least a forged first gear and modified clutch packs (And all of that is the VERY least). It just keeps getting more expensive from there.

And isn't apples to apples versus the stock F90.

I say this without malice - but I am not sure you have very much experience racing.

You just posted a DIG race where the GTR JUST won. The original video was a roll video. Now - I did say that the stock GTR will lose to a E63S more times than not - but being low 11's - it is a drivers race at that point. I'm not sure if you checked your own video - but the GTR won by 8 HUNDREDTHS of a second lol. Backing up my point.

The second factor is MPH - traction is ET - but the longer these cars drive the worse the GTR will do. It just doesn't have the MPH.

SO - to your point - the better performance car - is either the 4600+ lb E63S or 4K lb purpose built R35. Or put another way - a family, luxury, 16 foot+, four door saloon is within 8 hundredths of a second of a purpose built supercar.

And the F90 M5 (non-CP version) - is generally - at least - 1 tenth quicker. So...

Don't worry though - the R35 is old. Unveiled in 2007. SO it's not supposed to be the better car.

Do you own a GTR? For all of that fervor and fanboiism - I certainly hope so.

It is clear you have zero real world experience regardless - I recognized that from your first post.
