Rattle with brakes - Need help
Hi all,
I have recently had a brake job done on my 2013 F30 with M-Sport brakes (Blue Brembos). I went from stock m-sport rotors to OEM M-performance rotors, and have replaced the stock pads with Hawk HPS 5.0 pads. However since the brake job I have a wheel speed dependent (not engine speed dependent) pulsing squeak/rattle which does not go away when applying the brakes. Upon checking each wheel, I believe it is coming from the front left brake area. Everything about the brake job appears fine and the same with one exception. On each pads there are 2 silver tabs (Not sure what else to call them) that sit at the back of the caliper and just outside the spring. On 3 corners, all of these tabs are tight and don't move, but on the front left the bottom two tabs are loose and I can wiggle them. I am wondering if this is causing the problem and if others have experienced such a situation. As a reference, here is the picture of the pads with the tabs I am speaking of, and I will try to link to the sound clip I tried recording of the issue. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Z7...22VKXgGJwjciLD Thanks

Either the pad was installed wrong or your caliper is seized

In talking to Hawk Performance, the tabas are counterweights and are not supposed to move. Might have to replace the pads.....
