Auto box jumping revs when going up a gear.
Hi all,
I've noticed that whenever I've left my 330i N53 auto for a couple of days, whenever i drive it on a cold start & I'm going from 3rd into 4th gear the revs jump a little and the car jerks forward. Once the cars warmed up this issue goes away and all is fine. Had the gearbox serviced last year which was a complete flush of the fluid as well as new sump. any ideas? thanks |

Sound more like an engine fault than a box fault tbh. Any fault codes? N53 is the weak link here
If it really is only 3rd to 4th then perhaps a torque converter fault but I really wouldn't have a clue. |

no engines code present, although last week on a late night cold start as i was driving the transmission error came on the idrive and stored a code pertaining to the gearbox - something about 3rd to 4th gear but cant remember the exact wording.
I reset all gearbox adaptations and hasn't come back since. |
