M2 Competition colors may ruin my purchase

So, I am next on my dealers allocation list, my guy says that it is for either the lci or the comp. So that's exciting...
I am not excited about any of the colors on the Competition!
I want the new engine/upgrades/options, but I really cant justify buying a +60k car that I don't really like the color of. It's alllllmost enough to make me want a MG LCI. Keep in mind this will be my "beater" as I have a DD, Garage Queen and a very solid lead on a GT3. This is the car I want to track, drift, and generally be a hooligan in.
I am sure there are posts out there about xpel wraps, but does anyone know @ how much a total wrap is? I'm thinking San Marino Blue perhaps... or a REAL orange... not copper brown orange Probably not much chance in seeing HS in person before we place an order right?
Anyways, happy shopping out there!!! If anyone has a very gently used MG LCI for sale... let me know

**EDIT** very gently used MANUAL MG LCI for sale... let me know

Depending where you are but a full wrap usually runs between $4 and $7K. Any cheaper and I would be concerned about the quality, any more expensive and you might be paying too much. 3M has some nice colours.

This statement alone I would be getting the M2C without question. You will be happy to have the air to water cooling on the S55. Is metallic graphite technically a color anyways? Color would be Long Beach Blue. If you want to save money, just wait. Don’t worry about your LCI allocation, unless your dealer is giving a decent discount. There will be leftover LCI inventory to play hardball with.

Thank you! much appreciated!
It is down to wrapping a Comp or picking up a MG LCI and adding Dinan P2 package.

@61k for Comp plus 5k wrap= (+-)$66k 410 hp 406 tq San Marino Blue

@54k for LCI plus Dinan P2 8k installed=(+-)$62k 446 hp 458 tq Mineral Grey

I'd consider future resale value as well. I always have a rule about buying the last of a model year. Your driving off the lot with considerably more depreciation, than buying something early in production run. Its even worse in this case, since they just completely changed the car.

Saving money not really the issue, but a better deal is a better deal!
Problem is the color. I want mineral grey or San Marino Blue or bright orange. So probably will be wrapping the COMP. I hear ya on the LCI hardball, but that wont happen til we start receiving our M2C's... I will have to make the decision in May if I want the M2C allocation or not
thanks for the input!!!

True words of wisdom!
Resale not factor in this decision. This car will probably stay in the stable for 10 years. By then, there will be electric cars everywhere. This car will be a dinosaur by then(fossil fuels included)

I do not think you understand what the term beater. means..

per the online slang dictionary ... beater- noun- an unattractive, undependable, old automobile.

I thought they were usually dependable, that's why you can beat on them and it doesn't matter, because they are worth very little, and they keep functioning as far as driving goes.

while it may be a personal rule... it certainly could cause you to miss out on some items..

BMW E30 M3 - the 1990 and 1991 cars had airbags, offset control arm bushings, AL control arms, and and were typically desired over earlier cars.. (except Henna)
- For Europeans.. Evo 1, Evo 2 and then Sport Evo at the end of the line. unequivocally the Sport Evo is the one to have.

BMW 1M - first and last model year

BMW 135is - unique motor at the end of the model run

BMW M Roadster and M Z4 - 2001 and 2002 - later years got the S52.

There are several models where avoiding the first year may have been preferred....

The 2006 E90 330 became a 2007 335 in the second model year.

The E39 M5 got better halo headlights in the second year.

With the 1995 M3... the first year model with S50 was generally preferred over the S52 1996-1999 coupes.

Typically means a car you're not concerned with to use for anything and everything. The antithesis of a garage queen. Hence the name, it literally gets beaten and driven into the ground. Usually referred to older cars that have lost any real value and so a f**k is not given.

I think he was attempting to brag on a big garage...

" I've got a daily driver... (RS4) a Garage Queen, and a very solid lead on a GT3 (no name for that one - Track King? ).... and I want to add an M2 as a beater... "

I will give him props for wanting 6MT

Yes. of course.. but a beater would be a DAILY as well, however.. right? one doesn't own a DAILY.. AND a BEATER..

For a northerner.. A WINTER BEATER... may be a car that one let's sit around all year until winter time... while the DAILY stays out of the snow and salt...

Two different things. You care about your DD, you don't give a f**k about a beater. You can still have a DD and a beater.

I feel so inadequate. My M2 simultaneously serves as my daily driver, my garage queen, my show car, my track beater, and the nicest car I've ever owned.

If you wash your beater more that once a year, it's not a beater
