Supersprint Headers & Cats inquiry
I spot Supersprint Headers & Cats at an insurance impound east of Ottawa similar to this photo part number 789001 and 789002.
My questions are: Will those parts fit my other OEM exhaust parts perfectly without any welding or cutting? Has anybody here ever successfully installed those two parts in conjunction with their other OEM exhaust parts? Theoretically, the E90 wheelbases of 323i, 325i, 328i, 330i and 335i are all the same 108.70 inches or 2760 mm so those parts should fit perfectly (IN THEORY). Any comment, suggestion, pointer, something to say in general???? Thank You |

The biggest issue is getting software to make it all work properly. |

A wrecked 325i
Technically, I should only pay $451.34 according to that salvage place.
Whoever previously owned that E90 325i wrecked that car badly that the insurance company wrote it off. Also verified with Mr. WT of TMS that no software update needed..... Any thought before I cough up $451.34 for slightly used Supersprint components and around $400 labour fees to install those things????? |

As for the software, sure you don`t need it. However, don`t be stunned to see a check engine light show up unless you move the O2 sensors corresponding to the primary catalysts down to the other cats or replace them with O2 simms! |

If those parts fit your car, get them. Thats a bargain.

yeah... he will get CELs for sure unless he gets O2 simms, relocates the current O2 sensors (may still get CEL), or, unless the software gets told that the new exhaust readings are correct (ie. with new software)

About software
Also what kind of software do I need?
I consulted with folks at Turner Motor Sport; they said no software required in my case since my 323i has the ECU upgrade of 325i. I could be wrong. Thank You |

i guess if your CEL doesnt appear than you should be fine( the car wont burn rich and should output more power than stock), but as i mentioned before you need to tune the car, for it to work to its max potential

Either you gotta move the o2 sensor somewhere farther or make it stick out more...
But in BeMyWife330i's situation it didnt work out.

people sell O2 simulators that basically simulate the signal from an O2 sensor that is providing the correct numbers to the engine computer. This tricks the computer into thinking that the emissions values being read are correct and you therefore, in theory, don't get a check engine light.
