Euro delivery late summer?

You guys think if I plan a eurodelivery for an m5 in the 2nd week of August I will be able to pick up a comp package car? My wife and I are thinking about doing an end of summer trip with the kids before school starts, but I want to get a '19 car with comp pack. I wish Bmw would release some details sooner rather than later!

The question is when the CP M5 goes into production. If its mid July, it could be a stretch. My experience was the cars are built a few weeks to a month before you arrive for ED.

The biggest issues is the unknown SOP

I don't think you can get a '19 car in August.

I belive they shut down production for summer break in July or August so I dont see how a 2019 M5 could be delivered before September.

Thanks guys. It is so strange because my first euro delivery on my e90 m3 was July 7th 2010 and I got an '11 comp pack. My second euro delivery was an f80 delivered September 9th 2016, and it was also a comp pack '17 model. I def forgot about the production break they take in July. It's funny because I was told my '17 f80 went into production in June, but who knows how Bmw does their math.

Not true, I did Euro delivery last week of August in 2014 and got my 2015 M5 built end of July. Model changeover was July 1st.

Good luck finding a dealer with an open allocation for it this year. I looked and called about 10 different dealerships.. same answers from all.. made me pull the trigger in one right away from Phoenix

So one of my local dealers said he is pretty sure I will be able to do euro-delivery on a '19 the first week of September as they go into production starting 7/1. Any dealer talking to any of you about allocations at this point is speaking about model year '18 allocations. Most allocations are spoken for, but not all. This dealer said someone just backed out of one of their allocations which is still in 111 status so can be modified if a customer were interested. Model year '19 allocations haven't been given out yet, but will become available likely in the next month. Overall, that is good news for me because I think my family and I will be heading back to Europe for a nice vacation and a sweet car! The only negative news he gave me was that I probably would not be able to order an individual color, as this was my plan. He said individual colors usually double the production time, so it probably wouldn't work for the time frame I was looking at.

Also, I thought I had read that the promotional bmwfs finance rates were not available on euro-delivery models anymore, but my dealer said that they are. It is only incentives that cannot be used. Anyone know the right answer to that?

Interestingly, they also had two alpine white m5's on the lot for sale which were gorgeous. I already have an alpine white e90 m3, otherwise, I might have been really tempted to order that color again!

If you are in Munich after September 22, you might be able to catch Oktoberfest.

I wish! We have already planned a trip with the kids to Paris. Otherwise I would be all over that.

Spend the day there pre delivery, picked up the car the next day and headed to the alps.
