Staggered Setup OK?

I want to know if my setup is ok to run as I've been using them for about 6 months and got two flats on my passenger side last night due to a huge pothole, and I had to drive on it for about 2 miles. I have 18"'s and my tires sizes are 225/45/18 for the front and 255/40/18 for the back. I have a 2014 428i xDrive with no EDC. I think after this hit from the pothole and my struts already starting to give up, I need to look into a replacement. What do you guys think? Any suggestions for new suspension ? OEM? Aftermarket? Note: I'm in NY so not really trying to go low, just need a good setup that can be reliable.

There's a math for calculating the front and back difference in running diameters of your setup. I'm not sure of the percentage difference you are allowed with x drive either.

But my question is why do so many run staggered when its technically only detrimental to the driving experience (xdrive)? Is it just for the show?

Well that’s how BMW sells them when you get M sport wheels isn’t it?

Damn man. Curse these roads, they literally eat cars alive up here. If you think the seals on the struts were compromised, you may very well have some bent wheels as well. I would definitely get those inspected as they'll cause all sorts of fun vibrations.

A good setup that won't bring you too low would be KW Street Comfort. Tons of xDrive folks run them on here. How many miles are you at?

I don't think so. My stock 18" m sport rims were all the same size as were the tires.

Yeah I know these potholes are horrible. It hurts my heart every time i hit one and hear the strut getting fucked up. I'm pretty sure my struts are starting to crack or whatever but my rims seem to be in good shape.

Almost any pothole on xdrive base suspension is bone shattering. Coilovers next season definitely.
