First edition question

Can anyone who has a first edition in the US comment on what they paid? I have a late allocation that my dealer basically hunt down for me. I am probably going to have to pay $10k over sticker since I basically asked my dealer to find me one.

In my eyes maybe worth it, but I wanted to see what others paid. I am purchasing the vehicle.

The other option was to price out an m5 non first edition and just lease it.

If it's sensitive info, then please message me directly.

Yeah, there are some cars worth paying over sticker for, but for me M5 is not one of them (doesn't matter if it's first edition).

Unless you must have it now, I would wait for the CP version.

I agree, there are no performance gains to be had with the 1st edition as everything is just options baked in an a 1 out of xxx.

Get the CP then add in all the missing features if you want the look.

Spoke with my dealer and we got it all straightened out! I'm excited to get my hands on it. Now I get to hurry up and wait until mid June.

Good, sounded like you won't have to pay over the sticker

Yep. One thing I find strange... you would think the first edition models went into production... well, first.

Not that I care, but just a funny observation.

Wait for the CP, first edition won't worth more than CP, especially if it's your DD.

And BMW will come up with even more special editions based on CP during LCI, and EOL. So if I were to look for special editions of M5, first edition is not what I would get. Get the CP and wait to see what BMW will come up with.

Based on another forum member's conversation with BMW, it sounded like BMW had tried to bring the CP on at the same time as the base model, but couldn't make it on time, that's too bad, if the first edition has the CP, then you should definitely get that.

I have a 1st Edition coming, I didnt order it but the dealer called and offered it to me. I believe it will be at list but I will press for a discount. I have bought and will buy more cars from them so hoping they work for me. These cars drop like a rock and I only want it for about 6 months or so.
