Hey, I've searching and searching and reading a lot and don't seem to find the exact behaviors hence posting this one.

Symptoms:
Vibrations at the steering wheel (not at the butt or drivers and passenger's seat or rear seats) between 67/68 to 75/77 mph that are intermittent. Sometimes are harder than other and sometimes it's gone (always between the mentioned range of speed).

Now the hard part is to think of what can be causing this given the things that are new in the car....list below:

- New coilovers (Bilsteins PSS B14, installed May '16 (when I did this, I also refreshed every single nut, bolt, washer, rubber mount/piece in the front and rear axles)
- New end links, installed Jun '16
- New control arms, installed Sept '17
- New sway bar bushing, installed Aug '17
- Brand new wheels installed 2 weeks ago. This vibration was present before with old wheels and summer tires and with my winter setup.
- Brand new tires up front, installed March '18
- This happen with or without spacers, doesn't change a thing.
- Outer tie rods, 1 is new, installed in June '17...the other I know is newer than the car but it was change before I became the owner.
- I also did engine and transmission mounts (around mid 2017), all new, OEM nothing aftermarket.
- both front wheel hubs are new, one installed in may '15 and the other around November '16...no play, no excessive rust, no nothing.

Now, the only thing that I can think of that can introduce vibrations in the ride is the steering column or rack, is it possible that this component can do that? other than that everything suspension wise is no more than 2 years old.

You said new control arms, but did you replace the bushings as well. I had the same vibration and I finally replaced the thrust arm bushings and it went away.

yes, all bushings are new. The new control and thrust arms came with new bushings....

is this on your xdrive or rwd ? Lower steering shaft assembly is a known issue,when it start vibrating can you try turning the steering a bit left and right and it feels like you got an oval tyre or an out of roung wheel.

it's a RWD...is what you are describing for xi/xdrive cars?

most common on xdrive but lower steering shaft is a common problem even on rwd

Thanks! I will have to make them check it again, but I was told when I installed the wheels, were balanced. Weirdly enough, at same speed the vibrations come and go. Like, going at 73mph not changing the speed by any mean, it's inttermittent....
