Brake pads without wear sensor?

Hi,

Just bought Zimmermann drilled rotors for my BMW F30 328i and TRW Dtec Ceramic brake pads. Problem is that only the front pads have the wear sensor fitting, the rear is missing this. Is it possible to just unplug the rear sensor connector without getting any error codes?

The sensor is not worn down, so worst case I can keep it in the wheel well with a zip tie.

I would go with ATE Ceramic brake pads if I could, but the seller told me TRW where the only ones recommended for drilled rotors.

Thank you!

Unplugging the sensor would give the same result as when the sensor is worn down.

I would just do this. Those of us that swap pads frequently (like switching between track/street pads) do that.

That doesn't sound correct. You should be able to use any pads.

The pads should have a location for the pad sensor if they are meant for your car. are you sure they didnt send you incorrect pads?

If you wanted to you could also cut the sensor and wire nut the two wires in the sensor to complete the circuit thus eliminating a brake warning light.
