pics of F30 Carbon Mirror caps
Hello friends.
I am considering getting some ebay carbon mirror caps. I'm not 100% sure I like the contrasting look of black mirrors. My car is estoril blue. If anyone has carbon mirrors can you share some pics?? Especially pics of the whole car thanks! |

I have a couple of close ups of mine on Instagram. My F30 335i M Sport is Black Sapphire Metallic with carbon fiber trunk spoiler, read diffuser and mirror caps. I have the Varis style front lip in carbon fiber as well, just trying to figure out how to mount it this weekend.

I just wrapped mine yesterday with this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I went with a textured low gloss rather than the usual non-textured high gloss. You can find dozens of wrap options, all of them a lot less expensive than new caps. Wrapping isn't at all difficult once you learn how, and there's youtube videos for that. |

If you do go with a vinyl wrap I suggest getting curved items to practice on with a hairdryer/heat gun first. It's tricky when you start but once you learn how to do the curved surfaces it's easy

Key with heat is don't use a painter's type heat gun, use either a hair dryer or a low temperature gun, like this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also, don't try to use the heat gun/dryer free-hand. Clamp it to a workbench, so you can hold the part you're wrapping with one hand and stretch the vinyl onto it with the other, briefly waving the section of vinyl you want to heat up in front of the gun/dryer. It takes very little heat. |

Word of advise: Egay has 2 types of CF mirrors caps/covers.
One is a stick-on part that you tape on the existing cap and the other is a direct replacement of the cap.
