The C63S is here....
So the C63s arrived yesterday and said the final farewell to the M3 CP.
Only done a few miles in the new one but first impressions are that the ride is so much more compliant than the M3. Far more comfortable and I’d say somewhere in between an M Sport and M3 CP suspension. Much more liveable day to day. Steering is much better/easier at parking speeds. I can’t yet comment on the performance or handling as running it in obviously and just getting used to it really. It’s significantly different to a BMW in terms of driver controls as there is no gearstick and the Drive/Reverse is on the right hand steering stalk, wipers on the left and a few other things etc… The tech is great in these Merc’s lots of different screens, options, menus and god knows what. Need a couple of hours to go through everything! The phone app is lot better than BMWs and shows lots more info such as current car mileage, range in the tank, percentage fuel left, tyre pressures, lock/unlock car, fuel comp details of your last journey and overall total and loads of other stuff like brake fluid level, coolant level, washer fluid level, whether the sunroof and boot is open/closed …. You get the idea. And you can send destinations to the car. One or two other nice touches like ….. not only does the passenger mirror dip down towards the kerb, but you adjust how far is dims and save the setting. Also you get a free service at 2K miles for a diff oil change. And there is a free track experience day for AMG customers at Mercedes World near Heathrow. And then there is the noise, what a fantastic noise, switchable for loudness too. I guess when its run it a bit I can rag it a bit and comment more on performance but its early days at the moment. Fantastic car though, and I’ll be honest, I don’t miss the M3 one bit. Not many pics yet, I left the missus to take these while I was going through stuff in the car, so not the best. lol

Congrats Andy looks awesome, welcome to the AMG club.
Added a crappy pic of mine. Interestingly it looks like you have MPSS on yours and I got the continentals. After having mine a couple of weeks now all I can say is that they get better and better.

Lovely, both cars very nice indeed!
I drove a C63 coupe a few months ago they are very much more relaxed than the F80/2 gen cars, very nice machines. Sadly I'm addicted to the razor edge of the M3 and can forgive it most of its faults when that perfect piece of road appears and it comes alive in your hands but I can absolutely see the appeal of the more relaxed and comfortable AMG. They have just facelifted it and I'm officially in love with them.... Enjoy the V8 beasts!

Andy and I have talked about this a lot (we bought the cars together from the same dealer ) and both agree that the Merc is the better road car. the ride is not as firm and the V8 has more torque making it very easy to drive fast. The other big thing for me is the seats, I have the standard C63 and the seats are one of the most comfortable I have been in. My M4/3 gave me backache and I struggled without the leg extension. I think it comes down to what you prefer, if you want a true focused drivers car that is epic on the track go for the M. If you want something that is a bit more GT but still a proper road weapon then go for the Merc.

Yes Scott picked his up last week and looks awesome with the black forged wheels. My original C63 order had the black wheels but I decided not to go for them, save the cash (they are a £2k option on the C63) and put some money towards the S. Stayed with the 19's that come with the S.

Sorry no interior shots, was going to do it earlier, but too busy! Going on holiday tomorrow.
I'll sort some out soon.

Just got a few interior shots, not great quality though. When you first unlock the car, the front driving lights glow blue, then switch to white LED.

I'm sure, great car buddy, you can't argue with the C63 coupe can you.
