Starting the process, plus questions.
I have lurked around for a couple years off and on. I have been interested in European delivery since I was 18 and first learned about the program. Now circumstances in my life have some what pushed me to a decision.
In 2009 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer, I subsequently put it into remission and all but thought it was a closed chapter in my life. Well fast forward to this January and I get news it's back. So now I'm battling cancer again, while my prognosis is good it's still cancer. So that brings me to my decision, while I'm not thinking I could die, that thought is there. If you follow. Therefore I don't want to leave this dream unfulfilled. The cars going to be an M4, but I have a few things I am uncertain about. BMW works on an allocation system, which I want to assume with the F82 nearing its end an allocation won't be terribly hard to find. Plus I'm looking at doing Oktoberfest pickup. That being said, if I wanted an individual exterior color with Amaro Brown interior. How soon would I need to try to get it ordered? I've seen 3 months to as much as 6 or more are needed. The color I want has been done before, so I'm not worried about it being accepted. I'll leave it at that for now, my trip plan only goes so far as, 'generalized' to do list. Sorry to hear of the recurrence. You'll love ED. I don't think it is ever to early to start inquiring, especially if you are going individual. I believe I started in Feb for my planned early June pick up.
Have fun!

Welcome to the forums. Lots of folks here are great with giving solid advice in just about every aspect. To my knowledge, the M4 production cycle hasn't matured quite yet. That being said, I would start inquiring about it now just to make sure you have all your ducks in a row for your October pickup. Hope everything works out!

Hey OP. Welcome. Sorry to hear about your reoccurrence. The F82 M4 still has a few years to go before its end of production (2020). The F80 M3 is the one that's on its way out (October 2018). That being said I don't think you'll have a problem getting an allocation. I think most people start "testing" the waters 6 months out especially for an individual. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Is this your Bimmerfest post? "Time to complete the dream" http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho....php?t=1251736 You'll get the same answers on both forums, as the BMW loyalists frequent both sites.
