Angry Avin Customer Service

Any body have issues with customer service from Avin USA? I placed an order 10 days agao, paid for 3-5 day shipping and have not received the order. Have not been able to get any response from them over the last 3 days. Absolutely wrong way to earn my business.

Has your credit card been charged? They're supposed to ship when they charge the card. Tell your credit card company to cancel payment, that will get their attention.

Same problem here. Was about to order the unit, when the backorder note came up. Emailed them to know how long it would take to get the unit, since I wanted to take it to another country. So far it has been four days, no reply whatsoever. Not sure if I will place the order.

I’ve been looking at their web page and close to ordering one, had seen previously that it mentioned it was “in stock in California(?)” for speedy delivery, doesn’t say it now so maybe they are shipping from China, might take longer? Not wanting to hi jack the thread but has anyone who’s ordered one from UK been hit with customs charges?

I finally received a response after filing a dispute with PayPal. Yesterday they replied that it shipped the day before and I would receive tracking information. I finally received the DHL tracking number and it shows shipping information received(not shipped) Friday and not Thursday as said and from Hong Kong and not California. So now they have lied to me twice and took 12 days to SHIP something I paid extra to receive in 3 - 5 days. So yes, their customer service is horrible.

That's to be expected with Chinese sources. I ordered a Foxwell 510, which their site said was in stock a,t and would ship from, their US warehouse. It seems the Chinese aren't very good at geography, as their US warehouse is located in Hong Kong. I got it, but a week later than I would have if was actually coming from my side of the Pacific.

I've ordered from Chinese sources on EBay and AliExpress, always shipped promptly and arriving within the expected time frame, but at least they're honest about where it's coming from and what that time frame is.

Stay AWAY from these guys. I had nothing but issues the unit didnt work at first after update it worked. Then the GPS has no signal and the audio quality is poor. They take weeks to reply, give you poor info.

They say send it back, so at my own cost I did now its sitting in customs in China and according to the shipping company Avin is refusing to clear the package. So basically ive lost my money as I cant ship it back.

STAY AWAY GUYS

So after making alot of noise they finally refunded me.

I suggest contacting them via facebook this seems to be the quickest response.

When buying from China I prefer to use Alibaba/Aliexpress. They're like Amazon, but much more pro-active. They hold the funds that go to the seller until you tell them that the item has been received and works to your satisfaction. They're very concerned about maintaining a reputation for customer service, and they go the extra mile to be sure of it.

They suck, would not recommend them to anyone anymore. They asked me to return an item for a refund which I did over a month ago and now they ignore all my emails and have kept the item!

Avoid at all costs and get it from another supply!

Absolutely ABYSMAL support. My Android 8.1 unit has massive issues and they never answer my emails anymore. They answered 1 or 2 emails at the beginning then they stopped answering. I complained again today to someone named Tommy and he said they are releasing an update for the 8.1 E9x unit tomorrow. Go figure.

I should have seen this forum before ordering... i am in the process of ordering an android 11 from them in South Africa... I have received a tracking number around 3 days back. Now with Covid I do understand that from China it will be a good 10 days lead time, which I am fine with but I just hope that DHL updates its tracking service. I have heard horrible stories from other stores as where they generate a shipping label just to buy time in the hopes of getting stock (considering the android 11 is still pretty new). i hope this is not the case with me.

My experience with DHL tracking is that it ends when the package is transferred over to the Post Office, which is the case in the US as DLH has no delivery trucks here. Once the Post Office gets it there's no more tracking information, but so far they have delivered everything.
