Clear Film Master in the NYC Area

Can anyone recommend a true expert/master installer of clear film coatings aka "clear bra" in the NYC/NJ/Long Island area? I am particularly looking for someone good with the Venture Shield brand that seems to be emerging as most recommended.

I am on Long Island. Are you using someone experienced with these materials on high-end cars?

I am thinking full hood wrap to avoid a "seam" and reduce the risk of "a tan line" from differnet UV exposure over time. I am seeing a pretty strong theme that the "VisionSheild" product is most highly recomended for its supposedly extraordinarily clear appearance and consistent install (install can use heat gun to perfect details).

We can all buy VisionShield kits and install yourself - they seem to have recently franchaised heavily. But i think the install is an art form. There are shops in Calif. that do only this (~infinite source of high end cars/customers if you've ever lived in SoCal) and offer many products apparently selected for the color and geometry of the type of car. These guys refer to themselves as "master installers" and they are mobile - thye go to varoud high-end car shows and they'll also happily come to your estate and fix you right up for lots $$$$. What a country!! I've emailed one guy and asked if he can recommend a comparable installer on the east coast. I'll let know if i hear.

The 3M product/installers seem readily available but reviews seem to be less than stellar for altering the appearance of the car, some perceived "yellowing" look on very light colors like whites/silvers, and talk of "orange peel".

So, i am looking for "master installer" and the right product for the M3. He's out there, we just gotta find him.

Please sign me up, too! I'm looking for a master installer and was recommended to go
with the vision shield.

I just set an appointment with them today. $100 deposit and about $1000 for the bumper, hood, and fenders. Much better than my dealer.

Also check out AI Design in Westchester County. www.aidesign.com They do all high-end cars (they had a Ferrari 612 in there when I picked up my M) and their work is top-notch. They smoked my tails and put a V1 in my rear view.

Technik 1, supposedly "premier and exclusive 3M agent" in the city. They seem to do a lot of supercars.

3M is fine because you have a blue car, so even if it yellows you can't see. Orange peel? BMW already has plenty of that on the paint so it won't matter...

The most popular brands are 3M and Venture... and please don't DIY.

+1 for Detailing Dynamics. I just picked-up my car from them today after having the 3M installed on just about everything but the side mirrors...those I will tape for trackdays.

The job looks absolutely phenomenal and now I have some piece of mind that I won't be getting chipped-up on track or on the road. After seeing what a few track days can do, the film is a must for me.
Matt and Eddie are great guys and have some shop. Do a search and read the reviews. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Give them a call and have them email you the diagram.

That sounds like a great deal. I'm trying to get mine done in the South Jersey area.
