Have to ask yourself... is it worth saving a £100 (less than 2 tank loads?) on something that you want to be reliable?

I fitted my old eprance 0805 in the wifes car... with memory card that would have been over £100 but i’d consider that cheap (well compared to my Thinkware!)

An alternative is getting a phone mount and using your smart phone... a couple of apps out there for this.

i use to have a GW1C was only £35 and was better than most of the top ones to be fair. only reason i dont have it now is it broke the mount in a car crash and they replaced it with the nextbase

i agree though £100 seems nothing in the grand scheme of things but she wants what she wants!!!

I also have an A119 Ver2 and for £70 it's very good. If you go to a lesser quality than this then most number plates are unreadable, especially at night.

Had the viofo a119 in my 440i for over a year, good discrete bit of kit without breaking the bank.

I got one of these because I couldn't be bothered swapping the one in the Porsche back and fore. It's great, good resolution, has wifi and very discrete. Sure you can spend loads more if you want but this works well, reliable and cheap as chips.

How do you share video? last time I put something on YouTube it compressed the hell out of it. Took this in HD but look at the state of it now, maybe you have to pay to get decent quality:

No, I filmed that using a different camera.

Was just to show it's not easy to share the quality of video as YouTube compress it.

I had a mini 801, lasted a few years before it failed when the battery swelled. Dashcams don't like the heat in summer. Got a mini 903 in the other car, that has a capacitor instead of a battery.

The A119 uses a capacitor too, no battery to worry about.

Down to £62 now here

I've had the Aukey dash cam for a while and it works great. My parents and fiancé all have them in their cars too...

AUKEY Dash Cam 1080P Ultra Compact Car Camera 170° Wide Angle Lens, WDR Night Vision, Motion Detection, G-Sensor and Loop Recording, 2" LCD https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01LWN99..._GJkLAbN6ZJF5P

Can pick them up for around £33 when it's prime deals

Ah! Good idea! Will do that may as well plug the whole connector in - unless the other half decides to kick it when getting in/out the car
