Pls Post Front Camber #s....

Hello BMW Experts!

My almost new car has almost straight up, -0.1 front camber, both sides. Seems a little upright to me.
Do folks knock out the two pins on the top mount on F30s for a bit more adjustment? I've seen those lower lateral links...at ~ $180. per side.

Pls post your numbers!

TIA! Murf

Depends on what you're going for. Most ppl on this forum don't add any additional camber unless they're tracking their car or stancing them. If you drill out the camber pin you can get up to -1. If you replace with M3 front control arms you can get up to -1.5. But camber plates are your best bet for full adjustability up to -4 depending on what you plan to do.

I run -2.4 front and rear with absolute 0 toe and have no issues. Ran something very similar on my previous e92 and got 40k miles out of those tires after flipping them twice. I'm on about 10k with these and will be flipping them when I get my full brake job completed in April.

My previous e92 at -3 and stretched tires all around for shits and giggles.

Hi NO,
More to the point, I'm wondering how "normal" my car is (I see no bent arms; both sides read the same).
Maybe I'm just surprised that the camber is spec'ed to be so straight up compared to past 3-series sickle-based front ends.

My car was set to -0.1 degrees front camber from the factory as well (340i w/ M Sport & Track Handling Package). So far I haven't done much about it aside from lowering the car a bit and keeping the natural camber I gained by doing so. I'm at around -0.5 degrees now up front with toe set close to zero (very slightly toe'd in).

Yea, that's how they come from the factory across the board. Drill the camber pin out and push the strut over for -1 and get the toe dialed in on your next alignment. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Lol

I don't believe this is possible anymore on F30s, I looked at mine (2016 so 5-bolt top mount) and it doesn't look like there is any room to move the strut even if that pin was removed. None of the holes seem to be slotted like they were on E90.

If someone has tried this on the F30 w/ 5-bolt top mount, let me know and I'd be happy to give it a shot on my car.

I agree with Remonster,
All of the bolt holes look very precise, with no slotting or oversizing. So you have to slot them yourself (not)!
