ID Code for Road Springs?
Hello BMW Experts!
I have two sets of F30 springs, tagged as such: 1) Fr: DG Rr: GP 2) Fr: FJ Rr: can't read, D-something I've seen posts about a mysterious BMW Spring Table, but can't find it. Does anyone know what these code & others mean, pls? TIA! Murf |

The tags don't matter as this is an internal thing for BMW. Part numbers are what count. Springs are specific to a car and based on how the car is optioned. So you can have 3 or even 4 or more different spring part numbers for the same model.

Thanks Jim,
Wow, the VIN info could become separated from the springs pretty easily! Then what do you do, get out the micrometer? I was thinking the first letter might designate the "line" (m-sport; reg;...), and the second letter might vary per options (weight) of the car. But no, BMW can't do that for us...! Murf |
