n55 liqui moly?

Hey guys.

I have a FBO n55 6mt 335i.

Car has 41k miles on it.

I need to do an oil change and have been hearing great things about Liqui-Moly.

Turner Motor Sport has the Synthentic Longtime High-Tech Liqui-Moly 5w-30 kit for the n55.

Is it worth spending the money on Liqui-Moly?

Should I get it with any additives?

Liqui Moly makes some of the finest oils for your car, High Tech and Molygen are my to go to oils from them right now for the n55.

As for additives I run Pro-Line engine flush from Liqui Moly every few oil changes.

Thanks for your feedback!

I just did some research and did not find that Liqui-Moly Hightech was rated for a 335i, but rather a 335d.

I then googled Molygen and found that it wasn't listed for BMW at all...

I'm nervous to run oil that isn't "supported by BMW."

Will this make a difference?

Thanks in advance!

If you are set on Liqui Moly then use Liqui Moly 2332 Leichtlauf High Tech not Synthetic Longtime High-Tech. It's BMW LL-01 certified. I run Motul 8100 X-cess and it's also LL-01 oil. I use 5w40 all year round here in California and it's great oil. The LL-01 certification focuses mostly on how well they lubricate the valvetronic system in our cars. You can run any decent synthetic but why would you want to when you can run oil that is approved by the manufacturer at almost no extra cost? I've talked to a bunch of mechanics that tell me the LL-01 certification is BS but I guess everyone has an opinion!

I added some liqui-moly "Molygen 5w-30" recently for the first time and the engine is super smooth. I'd assume it's LL-01, but didn't check. The oil is green so you can use a fluorescent light to see if there are any leaks.

I couldn't find any LL certifications for 5W-30 molygen. I've only seen 5w-40 I think with LL-01.

I went the 5w-30 route because I live in a warm climate. I just assumed it would be fine with the vehicle.
