Is the car being held after it leaves VPC? What is ETA?

Eclipxe,

I've reached out to my BMW Rep at Baltimore Port to get an answer on why some are being held and while some have been released. There are multiple reasons why cars get held up at port ranging from recalls, software updates, damaged either at port or while being transported, customs for varying reasons or first wave of new models/generation being held due to launch date.

I found a new home for my sister stores HEA car on the west coast, so I'm after answers just as much as the next guy. My Rep has been good in the past when I've reached out regarding my cars and has always got them to the front of the line.

I'll post here when I hear back

If cars are damaged during transport, it's actually a different process.

3 primary factors for the hold are:

1) EPA testing and customs clearance
2) Any recalls or port installs required
3) BMW M5 debut date (TBD but I'm hearing March sometime).

#3 is our enemy right now!!!

I heard back from my BMW Rep and was told its launch date.

Port Installed Items is correct but clients are normally (should be) told in the ordering process.

I was under the impression damaged vehicles during transportation get fixed at the shop at the port. What do you mean by different process?
