How will the M2 Competition Badge look ??

Quick poll for how we would want and expect the M2 Competition badge in the back of the car to look.

Not really great with drawings but here goes:

EDIT: Consider that all 4 options have the "Competition/Comp" portion written in running font and some sort of italics. Will your votes change then ??

I want the "competition" as small as possible... I am not thrilled with the nomenclature
Don't think it will be "Comp". Lots of non-M fans would be confused by that.

Yeah I'm going (hoping) with it just being "M2" as well. Adding 'Competition' or 'Comp' would look tacky.

I'd like 1 but I am pretty sure it will be 3 or hopefully final decision was just black chrome M2.

Why doesn't he just post a pic of the badge? It won't reveal any other design features of the car,if he just posts the badge.

IMO they should just leave the badge saying M2.

Just a sticker near the M2 badge saying "S55 Inside" (alike "Intel Inside" on computers) to comfort the driver that those behind him could notice that he definitely spent quite some extra grand for his M2.

That's secret Option 5.

Black Chrome would just be competition package and since this is not just a package, BMW will probably make it black chrome M2 and add something like Competition or Comp with it.

I actually thought majority would like Option 1.
Option 3 in my opinion would just look too long if BMW decides to print the whole "Competition".

If it was CS/GTS, Option 3 would probably look nicer.

That would confuse "Competition" with "Competition Package".

My thoughts on the "Competition" name:

AFAIK, the "Competition" name is new.

However "Competition Package" (internal designation: "ZCP") ain't new. I believe that BMW first used it with the E46 M3. In December 2004 the ZCP was launched as an option in the US (2410 were made [BL93]). That ZCP option was also offered outside the US from September 2005 onwards (326 LHD [BL91] + 275 RHD [BL92] were made). It was an option, not a different model. In the past also an E92 "M3 Competition Edition" (KA381) has existed (385 cars), known in the UK as "M3 Frozen Silver Edition", and an E92 "M3 Coupe Competition" (ZCP) for the Japanese market (27 cars).

A possible explanation for the "M2 Competition" and "M2 CS" mashup: the RHD version of the E46 M3 with the Competition Package was offered in the UK as "M3 CS" (though without "M3 CS" badge) (275 were made [BL92]). So the E46 M3 CS was in fact the E46 M3 Competition Package. But then again, the forthcoming M2 model is called "M2 Competition" instead of "M2 Competition Package". It's a new M2 model, not an M2 with a ZCP option.

And what about the name "Club Sport" or "Clubsport" instead of "Competition" or "Competition Sport" (CS) ? I guess Porsche wouldn't allow BMW to use that name.

Personally I think that - as a wink to the E30 M3 Evolution II and E30 M3 Sport Evolution - "M2 Evolution" would have been a better choice than "M2 Competition". It would avoid confusion with "Competition Package" and the engine move from N55 to S55 is indisputably an evolution. Then BMW could also have reserved "M2 Sport Evolution" for the eventual M2 hardcore version.

Maybe just M2C then ?

Less is more in this instance I think.

Struggling with existential issues: as the late Prince used to go by the name "The Artist Formerly Known As Prince" (TAFKAP) for some time, this car might as well go by the name "The Car Formerly Known As The M2" (TCFKATM2).
