Polar Blue Start/Stop Button

Purchased from IND:

https://ind-distribution.com/product...D-SSRB-F87-1-B

Install video:

Also, just a heads up!

The button comes with some tape wrapped around it:

I installed mine with it left on (as was recommended for a snug fit and to prevent any rattles etc.)

This made the button way harder to push in than the stock one. I had to take the button out again, remove the tape and reinstall it a second time to make it work correctly.

You may not have the same experience but just keep this in mind.

Edit: 2/3/18 I added a gloss black ignition bezel

To install it, flip it over, peel the red tape off the back of the adhesive and then apply it over the existing bezel. If your bezel is painted you might not see the red tape. Make sure you peel it off! Also if you live in a cold environment, heat up the back of the bezel with a hair dryer or heat gun after you remove the tape but before you apply it to the car. Cold temps will affect adhesives negatively. It needs to be applied warm.

No bezel:

Gloss black bezel:

Silver Bezel:

Will add a pic of the black chrome on blue once i find a photo.

Your interior is coming along nicely with this and the polar blue seat belts.

A custom set of Recaro Sportster CS w/polar blue stitching would be nice.

Might have to win the lottery first though.

How did you install the Bezel? I tried installing it by just sticking it on over the stock one with the adhesive, but it doesn't seem to take.

Did you peel off the tape covering the adhesive?

Yep. Little red strip. Checked that it was sticky, after trying to install it without success. Seems that the trim is a bit too tall, and won't touch the surface of the original stock bezel.

Not sure if you've sorted it out already but this is how it's supposed to be done:

I'm going to try again this weekend. Give it a shot with a hair dryer, see if I can get it hot enough to get it to stick. We'll see how it goes.

My black chrome bezel installed very easily once the 3M protective covering was removed. Just stuck right on top of the original bezel and hasn't moved since.

I installed the silver bezel over the OEM one, using a blow dryer to heat up the surface. I'm kinda worried it's not very secure, but seems to be holding for now... Looks good!

@andrewc89 pics as requested. Lighting wasn't the best since it's been overcast the last couple days and the difference between this bezel and the gloss black is fairly subtle I think.

Had some difficulty getting a good shot. Hope these give you an idea.

EDIT: FWIW, the IND Polar Blue listing does a pretty good job of showing off the individual bezel options as well and I feel shows a good representation of the black chrome.
