Anybody have a bar in their house?

I have a dead space in my front lounge which is a very decent sized space, it’s never used so I was thinking about having a bar built, I have a few ideas about what it will be like.

Anybody have one here, any good ideas rather than just a kind of wooden cabinet?

I’m talking optics, stools, big TV etc just a space to chill out of a weekend.

A bit '70s'.

Whilst you're at it, get a fondue set, some K Tel records from a filling station and play them on the music centre. Obviously serve some prawn cocktail for the dinner party whilst discussing car strikes. You could also place some cool executive toys in chrome on the bar too.

Why not turn the redundant space in to a MMA ring for females to wrestle in?

Don't forget space for the 8-Track in the dash - rip out the BMW head unit and cover-up the gaps with some bits of plywood.

Spare space is there for a reason. It's spare. Not to fill full of tat.

My problem is I have a lot of booze, loads of different bourbon and whiskey but right now nowhere suitable to store it since the kids took over my cellar

We had a garden summer house in Germany.

It was pretty much a fully stocked bar and BBQ.

It was mainly there to keep our single friends out of our house.

We even had a couple of camp beds in it for those that had problems using their 'wobbly' legs.

I went into a young well to do guys house recently and it had a bar in the open plan lounge/diner/kitchen and it looked rather smart, like a fancy cocktail bar, nothing like Del Boy’s bar!
