Issue with cruise control.
To be fair I have never used it often however lately on motorway journeys when I set it to 75mph or any Mph is fine. However when you come to use the stalk to increase it by let's say 10mph it feels like it puts the the foot down on acceleration HARD untill it reaches set mph.
Is this normal? Decreasing set Mph is smooth and gentle. |

Are you sure you're not hitting the resume button?

The mini I just sold would increase speed with hard taps on the cruise button by 5 mph. If I touched the button gentle it increases by 1 mph.

That's how cruise control works, sounds 100% normal to me.
Try having adaptive cruise in a 335i. I'll be going along at 80 quite happily and someone pulls out. Car slows to their speed (60mph), they then move over and it then goes full bore to get back to 80.

the lci cars or maybe 6-cyl cars have two-step cruise stalk, and you can change speed more granular
so if you want, you can replace steering wheel stalk center with newer
