Mrs hanchurch has had the mini years so what would you replace it with, it needs to be under 60000 miles,reliable, 4 seats, 5s ish 0-60 and a convertible this will be a keeper for at least 5 years. Looking at up to Â£20k top 3 are-
B7 rs4 convertible
V8 M3 convertible
235i convertible?

Looking at her last mots she does an average of 3000 miles a year and only gets 25mpg out of the mini anyway.

Per BMW Car get the E93 (that V8!) - my colleague has one and loves it. We have a less the 3k per year vert. Article on the E92 references £525 road tax though...

Also watch out for crank bearings eating themselves, common problem on the S65 at low mileage too
