Or do shops/stealerships also crimp clamp sometimes?

Not necessarily, it comes with a one time crimp style from the factory but you can get the same style from the parts department when doing a fuel filter or a normal garden style hose clamps.

when i spoke with my local dealer mechanic, since i told him i just replaced mine. he mentioned that when they service them they use new crimp clamps. so it could hav ebeen serviced at the dealer.

When dealer changed my FF, they converted over to a standard hose clamp. I reused that one when i changed the FF again. Its been about 2 years so I'm due again.

N/m the filter was dated 2015 noticed when I was throwing it in the garbage
