Possible to fix scratches on mirror housing?

I was inspecting my side mirrors after installing the CF mirror caps and noticed a bunch of fine scratches along the inner edge of the mirror housing (the glossy black plastic area). I'm not sure if they came like that during delivery or if the damage occurred when I popped out the mirrors.

After searching on the internet, I gave Meguiar's PlastX but unfortunately it doesn't help that much. Has anyone found success with such repairs or am I out of luck?
