Charge pipe and need for BOV

Is there a certain amount of boost pressure before a blow off valve is needed? Would I be able to get along with one without a blow off valve if I didn’t intend on going to high boost pressure’s?

I ran 21+ psi on stock turbos with stock DVs vented to atmosphere with no issues. I'm now VTT Stage 2+ with stock DVs at 19 psi vented to atmosphere. Never once had a leak, and if one fails, you can find a perfectly good used set from almost anyone on the forums for around 30 bucks

Get an upgraded charge pipe with OE DV, you will be fine.

Worst case scenario, DV leak in the future you keep the same charge pipe and get the upgraded Forge Diverter Valves
