Commodore 64 retro console
Yes! Looks like a retro Commdore 64 console is finally comming out soon.
I quite fancy one of these to re-live the good old days when I was kid. Wasted many an hour locked in my room playing on one of these and programming. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.tel...next-year/amp/ https://www.game.co.uk/en/m/the-c64-...iABEgIVk_D_BwE Anyone else have one of these back in the day?

Oh yes, c64, 128, a500, a600, if I remember the names then switched over to Atari st and falcon.
Heady days, although like most things of yesteryear may be best to leave them as happy memories. I used to enjoy jim’ll fix it and top of the pops.

My son moans at any minor glitch with his ps4. God knows what he would have been like with the C64. Hard to think of a favourite game on the C64 as there were so many good ones. Beach Head, Ace of Aces, Exploding Fist & Hunchback spring to mind. |

Gave mine away many many years ago with a great big box full of games. So wish I had kept it for nostalgic reasons.

Had a Spectrum 48k and my cousin who lived 2 doors away had the 64. Great days, thinking back. Who remembers trying to copy games (tape to tape)? Jet set willy had a massive multi coloured card insert to try and prevent copying😆

Yep we used to connect 2 tape decks up and copy each other's spectrum games back in the mid 80s Commodore 64 games were a lot harder to copy successfully though. |

I won £200 in a photography competition and bought a 128K Spectrum with the build in tape player. Manic Miner and Monty Mole were my favourites as I remember when games were £1.99 (Codemasters) from my local bike shop. Couldn't believe it when they went up to £4.99.
Tape-to-tape and then trying to find the correct volume so it would install and the screeching sounds that accompanied it. I still remember programming a BBC Model B as part of my GCSE Computing to display and move sprites across a screen! A far and distant world from what's available today. |

Thanks for the reminder. I packed my C64 and all the games in a big box and stored it in the garage. My son and I threatened to get it out and have a C64 party. My favorites were Le Mans and Pinball Spectacular. Simple games but lots of fun.

Ahh one of the big playground arguments of the mid 80s
My own view... Spectrum was the best for 'games' earlier on in 1984.. with the Ultimate games such as jet pac, sabre wulf and knight lore being way ahead of their time. By 1986 the commodore with its superior sound and graphics was the one to get for sure though. |

Commodore 64 Grandad?
For me it was the Amiga 500 (with its 256 KB of RAM no less) which was cutting edge... and my favourite games were Emerald Mine and Lemmings. Kids don't know they're born nowadays. |

We had a Spectrum, the fancy one with the floppy disc drive, never really played on a C64 except a couple of times on a mates one. Another mate had an Amiga 500 which iirc could play C64 games as well as newer more advanced ones, so I’m not sure why this company didn’t just make an Amiga 500 console?
