Video in motion

I've recently got Carly for my E91 and started coding a few things. I've been talking about it with a mate at work , and he's interested in coding video in motion on his 2017 F32 435d. However, he's concerned that with the periodic software updates, they will over ride the coding and return it to standard? Is this correct and also will the warranty be affected if we start coding stuff?

Regards,
Nick

Warranty will not be affected. It will however overwrite any time the dealer does an update.

AS ABOVE,,, Just had my 335 in at the local BMW dealer and they did an update, most of the stuff I did with Carly has been returned to standard so I am just going to have a play at the weekend.

I think this has become a very grey area - see thread!

Well my work mate has been in touch with bmw and been told his warranty will be void if any coding is carried out. So he's decided against it for obvious reasons.
