F90 on a 5 years lease ?

I have finally received the quote to lease the F90 but due to tax increases, the 4 years contract is stretching my budget to the limits

Just to put things in perspective, the F90 cost $180.000 USD in Spain
The car I’ve configured is almost fully loaded with the exception of extended leather and ceramics.

So I am left with the following options:

- F90 on a 5 years lease contract
- E63 (non S) on a 4 years lease contract
- C63s estate (LCI March) or RS4 estate on a 3 years lease contract

I’m genuinely on the fence between the 3 options and would be keen to have your thoughts.

To me, the F90 is the best of the cars listed but 5 years is a long time …
E63, not getting the “Non S” is a bit annoying but this is still a great car with awesome engine note. I do prefer the M5 as a package.
C63s, RS4 are both great estate and a 3 years contract is very attractive knowing that the new RS6 is 2 years away

I have leased my F80 for almost 4 years and as much as I enjoyed the experience / ownership, I’m keen to change… hence my reluctance over a 5 years lease contract.

I understand that this is a very subjective topic but I would still be keen to get your views. thanks !

The M5 is new and will not change for the next 5 years, if you are going to be doing a 5 year lease, this is the best time to do. Not to mention no other car does what the M5 does so if you do need a fast 4 door, it will keep the crown in the next 5 years to come, so not a bad situation to be in.

Most people in the USA lease for 3 maybe 4 years tops. I do not know what is standard in your country.

Thanks for the feedback and agree with what you are saying about the timing I have no doubt that the M5 will still be one of the best in its class for the years to come and competition pack will surely help the F90 to retain its crown. RS6/RS7 will be strong contenders though...

Same here in Europe, 3 to 4 years would be the standard leasing period. However due to budget constraints I have to push to a 5 years leasing contract in order to reduce monthly payment for the F90

They for sure will be, I love Audi RS models but this new AWD to RWD feature is a game changer for me.

Never heard of 4 or 5 years lease in US. Usually its 24, 30, 36, 39 months in US.

F90 on 5 years, we might have mid-cycle refresh in 4th year. Competition package as well

In Europe, 36 and 48 months would be the leasing norm. 60 months is unusual but it's possible

Mid-cycle refresh is not a big deal for me since it's a mild refresh with new headlights & some tech upgrade. Competition pack is another story but it's 10/15k more so i'll have to pass

Anyhow, I have decided to go for the 5 years contract with the option to reduce to 4 years after the 1st year of ownership... i'm now waiting for the revised quote... if all goes well, i'll be placing my order in the next 2 weeks
