Took delivery of my M40 yesterday and noticed that the BMW Connected tile doesn't display the weather. I have to select the tile and then go to Weather to get the info. In my G30, that tile always defaults to displaying the Weather. Anyone else having the same issue?

If you go to iDrive setting, you can select the default screen for that tile. You can check that setting.

Ours didn't work for a day, saying "no GPS". The car seemed to have GPS otherwise. Next day Weather worked. (let the Wookie win).

The one on my 530e and X6M were also temperamental from time to time. Day 2 now and still no weather.

I was getting "no gps". I had to call from the car, they did something... said wait 48 hours. It is now working.

Mine was out last week. When I called the BMW Genius I was told that they (no idea who) were working on some upgrades. It came back in my car on Wednesday evening.

I haven't called BMW Assist from the car yet. I had done it for my other BMWs so this might be the issue. I will try your suggestion.

Update....I pressed the Option button while the BMW Connected tile was highlighted from the main screen and it gave me the option to choose a default for that tile. Now the weather is displaying on the tile. Earlier, I was inside the BMW Connected menu and then pressed Option which didn't give me the option to choose the default app.
