EGR Off only physical - any risks ?
I've blanked my EGR on E90 2005 M47 no DPF only CAT.
After a few km the EML light popped out, along with the "Increassed emissions" message. The car works fine ! The torque starts from 1600 rpm, is great ! Question: is there any risk to damage something ? Or could i benefit more if i disable the EGR by software also ? Currently, i have black some only on kickdown, but is ok when driving. Software will cost me around 100 Euros or more, i want to balance the risk damage, vs benefits vs costs. Thanks |
