Question F30 Service History only in iDrive?

All,

I bought a 2015 F30 yesterday from the dealers in Stoke on Trent, everything is good with the car bar one item. I was not given a service history book physical one. When I called the sale guy said that ll service records are now held on the BMW I drive navigation system which is paperless.

In my iDrive I see history of two services being done.

1) In May 2016
2) In Nov 2017

I am very particular about service history and hence called BMW customer services and they are able to confirm in their records the service that was done in 2016, but they can’t find a record of the latest Nov 2017 one? I guess this latest service was done at this dealer before selling me, but why is this not in BMW centralised database? any ideas? or could it be possible that no service was done in 2017 and the iDrive was updated?

Regards,

Satish

Could be the BMW database is still catching up with November entries.
Was it a franchised dealer that serviced the car in November and was it towards the end of the month?

Mine was brought from Knights BMW so it is franchised I guess. I thought service data should get updated realtime and consistent all across?

Unfortunately even in these days of instantaneous electronic communication it can still take several days, if not weeks to get centralised systems updated.
Why not ask Knights to confirm what they actually did to the car before you drove it away?
After all for a 2 year old car you have spent quite a lot of money with them and are potentially a regular customer for servicing and the like.
