For sale is a Bootmod3 license, $350 BO. Sold the car to a friend who is going to turn down boost and run JB4 only, so don't need the license. Transfer process sounds pretty straight forward, so shouldn't be much, if any more work than if you bought the license straight from PTF. Thanks!

Process per PTF:
"I'm moving on to a different car. Can I re-sell my license?
Yes. Bootmod3 is the only BMW F series flash solution where the license can be resold and/or transferred to a new VIN when/if you decide to move on for any reason. Having re-sale value is a great advantage to choosing bootmod3 for your tuning which is NOT available with any other flash tune."

According to PTF:

So it looks like they verify I have flashed back to stock, then assign the license to the new users VIN.

Is everything included that is with the normal $595 tune - ie one OTS map? If so which map is it or can that be chosen?

There is no need to crack or open the ECU? How can it be flashed? what tool is needed? or do you have to go to a local shop. Im in Cali

Having gone through the transfer process, I can assure ya'll that it's a smooth and orderly process. PTF customer support is great to deal with, and they are always willing to help.

DME unlock is the way to go imo. You get to keep your complete stock readout, which is huge imo.

You're going to have to purchase a OTS map from PTF, which is an extra $50.00 for the N55.

how do you get DME unlocked ?

Gotta get a shop to do it for you. Either can go to the shop, or ship your DME. Takes about 3 hours to do it.

Find a shop close to you on PTFs website.
