Found a company that repairs runflats
During my first week of ownership I picked up a puncture in my off-side rear.
The TPMS went off and I found it was a screw in the centre of the tread. Not to worry I thought I can get this fixed. To avoid running it when it was flat, I plugged the hole using an external plug kit pumped it up and went to the closest tyre fitters. It was a national tyres (wouldn't use them normally but needs must). The reply I got was ' you need a new tyre we can't repair runflats'. Undeterred I tried the kwik fit half a mile further along but got the same response. I gave up assuming I would have to buy a new tyre (or 2 as I would take the opportunity to remove the runflats). Anyway, long story short, I went home and did a bit of googling and found a company called 'Etyres'. They are a UK wide mobile fitting company that will repair runflats if they are in adequate condition and in line with the manufacturers guidelines with regards to the repair. The good news is £35 and my tyre is repaired. Bad news is I will have to wait to switch out the runflats! |

I always assumed you had to do it for all 4 tyres at the same time ?

Yes, you can, I did this on my E93, dramatically improved handling and reduced road noise. If I can afford too I might change over to non-rft when I refurb my alloys next year.

Farmers Autocare repaired a run flat for me.
They said there would be a wait of around 45 minutes. No problem free coffee and athletics on the tv. Just under an hour later they guy came round and said it was all done and because of the wait it was on the house. |

Local tyre shop repaired mine for £10 cash including balancing. As long as it is in a repairable area and it hasn't been run flat there is no reason why they can't be repaired

If I had a runflat that had deflated overnight and had done zero miles in that state I just might consider finding a willing repairer but if I had driven several miles at up to 50mph then I would consider the sidewalls to be compromised as far as further use goes.

ATS Euromaster I always found to be the best when I had a company car on a maintenance plan.
National Tyres forgot to tighten all bolts on a wheel once! 300 miles later and a return trip to the south with a wheel vibrating and only when checking realising what had happened it was scary to think of the potential disaster. Thanks for advice on run-flat repair... not had the issue yet (fingers crossed) but no doubt only a matter of time... |

Have a look on websites, Michelin say theirs can be repaired. ATS repair them. Most Indy’s repair them.
The issue is, as with normal tyres if you drive on them they can’t be repaired. With a run flat the garage can’t tell if they’ve been driven on, hence why they won’t risk a repair. |

http://www.etyres.co.uk/run-flat-tyr...un-flat-tyres/ As far as backstreet outfits and one-man bands are concerned, I had my Dunlop run-flat repaired at a local centre that has 3 branches and 13 full-time staff. They checked the tyre carefully prior to repair, and after fixing it, the tyre then had 10k miles of trouble free running. |

If I was in the business of making a profit from broken tyres I would probably disagree with my opinion.
