Kazoo/horn sound under WOT

I'll try posting this again because I can't figure this out after a few months. I figure it has to be boost related because it doesnt make the noise under 10 psi. I tore the car apart to re install my VRSF reloctaed inlets to try and figure it out but no luck. Here is a link to the video. Dont mind the CEL and surging, my bov vacuum line popped off. Just listen to that sound...

Any ideas? I tightened every clamp that had to do with boost and still cant figure it out.

Is your BOV fluttering or acting up? Sometimes you need different springs based on boost level. People have also had issues with BOVs not liking the tiny port on the intake manifold. Some people upgrade to a larger port. I tapped a fitting into my manifold because the stock nipple was snapped off.

I don't think it's my BOV. I have the HKS one. I can hear it vent when I let off the gas. Plus, the noise only stared happening after I installed the VRSF inlets which have nothing to do with the BOV. My boost stayed the same from stock inlets to the VRSF inlets but I didn't get the noise with stock inlets.

another thing to check is to your power steering pump. There was an issue with the clearance between the pulley and the subframe on early models when engine was under load.

I don't think it's that. When I lower the boost to stock psi but still go WOT it doesn't make the noise. That is what leads me to believe that it is boost related.

Yeah, old thread but it turned out to be the silicone coupler from my outlet to my intercooler. I would just make sure that all the couplers are really tight. No issues now.
