CDA7 mystery code help
After spending 2 days trying to figure out what this code is on the internet, I'm stuck. There's absolutely no hint at what this code points to. If there is, whoops. I didn't see it so don't flame me. Does anyone have a clue what it is?
cda7 message (status reverse gear, 3b0) Edited to predict there's no responses to this as the other 10 threads I read never got a response either. Is this code like Valedamort? Last edited by PaNaRaMuH; 12-01-2017 at 11:53 AM.. |

Ok, ISTA+ doesn't have an abundance of information about this code without being able to plug into your car. It essentially means that the DME is not receiving the message from the FRM that the car is in reverse. Is this a recurring fault?

Yes. Recurring fault indeed. Car goes into reverse just fine. What is FRM? Sorry, still new to the platform.

Front Right Module, it sits in the driver's footwell, right behind the hood release. That module controls lights, mirrors, windows, and all kinds of other things.
It sounds like you have a K+DCAN cable. I would suggest installing ISTA+ and scanning your vehicle, then calculating a test plan. ISTA+ is the dealership diagnostic program, it will (generally) calculate a test plan to figure out exactly where the problem lies. Bimmergeeks.net/downloads |

Hmm. I can try, after I find another laptop. Just recently got rid of mine. I've fiddled with INSTA+ before I got rid of the PC and first saw the code in there. Never really gave me information about it. It's just such a weird code.

If you click the code and hit "calculate test plan" it will assist you with a diagnostic procedure of testing wires, etc. It usually tells you what to fix.
