In Singapore, it is S$250,000 (US$184K) for the E92 335i with highline options. For the E93 335i, it will be S$270,000 (US$199K). The government here levies an exorbitant import tax on cars.

On top of it, cars are allowed a maximum 10-year lifespan. Car owners have to pay anywhere between S$15K to $20K (US$11-15K) to own this 10-year right to own a car (Certificates of Entitlement).

south east asia car prices are insane.. my older brother lives in jakarta back in 2001 he bought a benz S320 for 180k. Taiwan isnt as bad but still a rip off.
I paid 95K for my 325i E93. E92 M3 cost $155K saw one at the dealer its been sitting in the showroom for 2-3 months now no one is buying it. lol

for fun, M6 coupe with standard options: $ 407 000 USD

even with todays low USD value compared to our norwegian krone.. usually $1 = 7 NOK, but now $1 = 5 NOK.
