Dashboard Warnings Lighting Up Like a Christmas Tree

Hey guys!

I did some searching around, but so many different forums are saying different things, so I figured I would turn to the trusty e90post family to help me find an answer!

So just the other day, I was driving along and out of nowhere my dash lit up like a Christmas tree! The brake light, ABS, DSC, Airbag, and Seat belt light were all lit up! Along with this, the car cut all power to unnecessary components of the car. What I mean by this is that my lights shut off, speedometer fell to zero while driving, climate control shut down along with the fans, stereo turned off, no power to windows, etc...

These lights only stuck around for a minute or so and they all shut themselves off and the vehicle went back to normal like nothing had ever happened!

I only have a generic OBDII reader and it pulled the code P0155.

Hopefully you guys can point me in the right direction! Thanks in advance!

Did you have the battery connector recall done on the car?

I searched for recalls with my VIN and it looks like my car was not affected by the battery connector recall. The 2 recalls were the blow-by heater and the infamous airbag recall.

Probably the notorious brake trifecta, look it up kids. Dsc module shot. Send yours to module master.com for a $250 rebuild VS. $1700 for a new one.

Checked the voltage of the battery when the car was not running and it was sitting around the 12.4V mark. Redid the test when the car was turned on and the volts bumped up to around the 14.5V mark. So to me this tells me that the battery and alternator are both fine and in working condition as far as I can tell?

Your alternator looks in good shape. Battery voltage test will detect only a terminally dead battery. The car requires a lot of Amps to run correctly. You need an amp discharge tester to see if it is still good or not.
