M2 on BBS SR winter set
Hello bimmerposters.
After some research for winter wheel options, I decided to go for the BBS SR. Unfortunately, I could not find much info for M2 fitment, or photos mounted on M3/4s. So... Here I am, opening this thread as a public service. It is opened as a new thread in the media section to be easily found, will post in the gigantic winter wheel thread as well. Specs: BBS SR, 18x8 +32 No spacers needed , and leaves plenty of clearance to the calipers Michelin Alpin 4 245/40/18 square. OEM TPMS. I was only hoping for a "not so embarrassing" look, but it actually looks quite well in my opinion- especially considering other options. The fit is great for my winter-taste. Enough tuck to keep everything under the fender, but not too much to look weird. |

Looks great man! I have the exact same set sitting in my garage, they will be mounted once I see snow on the ground.
Initially, I was afraid of clearance issue with the brakes, especially when there are wheel weights mounted. |

Had it mounted a little before-hand as by law we're required to have winter tires by latest 1st of December, which is still a few weeks away but with my schedule might get tricky. Plus, we're already seeing 0-2 degrees at night, in some places it's already snowing.
There's plenty of clearance, even more than I expected. I can try snapping a picture tomorrow if you'd like. |

Well, not horrible but doesn’t look like a M anymore with so much less aggressive offsets. Winter sucks.
I went with the stock wheels just because of this. |

I agree, thought of keeping the OEM wheels with OEM sized winter tires +new summer wheels.
However, then we're looking at a completely different budget. Anyways this thread isn't here to show how cool these wheels are (hint: they aren't), but in terms of Value & Look for the money considering it's winter season , it's the least bad option I could find- so trying to share the info forward as I couldn't find any myself. (For the record the entire package was ~1,500Euro for the wheels, tires, OEM TPMS sensors, mounting, balancing etc.) |

I've got the same setup sitting in my garage. Not much snow in Dallas, but it does get cold. Plus, they'll help when I drive North to see my parents.

In the photos it was pretty low, whatever the "professionals" put in it.
I do have a pressure suggestion for 18" tires on my door, to fit the OEM winter wheel pressure I assume- so I went with that, but still experimenting with it. I can take a look later if you'd like. |

What tires ? I hope you didn't need Alpins? I put Michelin AS3+ on my X1 for a trip to Indiana last year from DFW. It was an excellent choice but they are for all year round on that vehicle. Unless you are going to Minnesota that's probably as much tire as you will need. If you get a tire that is very snow biased they will get torn up more quickly when driven on warm days. |

being new to here as hopefully I'll be getting my M2 next week!
I'll need winter tires as well so I was looking for an option to get a second set of rims too. I'm coming from A45 AMG and this will be my first BMW so a rear drive car. Please excuse if any question sounds silly. Would the rim widths vary as well as the tire setup on this vehicle? The winter tires chosen here are in same width contrast to what it comes along on the car 245/265? thanks |

Sorry to pee on the parade but as said already - wheel face is flat [no concavity] and offset has rim/tyre combo set too far into fender wells. OEM 18" all day long for to my old eyes....
BBS 18" OEM 18"
