Is the diff that come's in the Z4M the same as the diff in the E46 M3?

3.91? Neither come with 3.91 stock, and they are different. I looked it up on RealOEM and the part number's for the diff cases are different.

no i was talking about the dinan 3.91 diff. dont recall the stock diff ratio.

if only i could get my hands on a 3.91

I agree- the Dinan 3.91 seems interesting. I wonder what the dyno, 1/4 mile, track advantages are. I can do the math on 8% torque increase but it is hard to get what that really means. On my old turbo car, I added over 130ft/lbs of torque at the wheel 1and that was real easy to appreciate. 8%= 15-20ft/lbs of torque at the wheel? Anyone here have it?

I'm getting 4.10's from diffsonline.com. I was originally going to go with 3.91's but I changed my mind. I'm hoping 1st isn't useless with the 4.10's

with the 4.10 1st is really short. but not useless. You can always start in 2nd
