small hiccups/misfires questions

You guys so I? had a concern on my f30

I? have notice that every now and then on eco pro or comfort I? get little hiccups on my car at part throttle driving normal
Like almost like misfires but not to the point to get a code

especially when I? run my jb4 at map 1

When I'm on map 5 it doesn't do it as much

Do you think is the spark plugs that need to be gapped ??

i would pull the plugs and try and look for any signs of detention or fuel. but all in all it wouldnt hurt to gap them

Some guy at n54tech said that's maybe my problem that my plugs are not gapped and that's the reason for the hiccups at part throttle

so I? guess ima gapped them to .022

Do you have an occasional rough idle during start? I've noticed mine hiccuping as well and It is always around 2.5-3.5k rpm. The vanos solenoids have been recalled on thousands of these cars but the dealership refuses to believe there is a problem since no codes are thrown.

I certainly do have this issue. Can you clarify more on this recall? It's not one I've heard about.

I've been trying to diagnose this for a while and found that a throttle petal recalibration does the trick.

I used the following method :

* Press the start button once to turn on power (Don't start the engine)
* Press the accelerator down to the floor for at least 5 sec (I actually hold the throttle down for 30secs).
* Hit start button once to turn off power
* Remove foot from accelerator
* Wait for min. 2 minutes
* Start the engine and drive
