I'm impressed who's need a V8 quadro, E92 RWD will do fine beside $5K cheaper than S5.

I was actually surprised they were that close. The S5 doesn't feel like any sort of performance car at all. It immediately puts me in old man mode

Well to be fair, the S5 does have that extra luxury factor and the interior is fantastic. That plus Quattro makes for a chunkier auto.

Saw an S5 on the road for the first time yesterday. That is one bad-ass looking car. The rear quarter view is spectacular. The front looks good too.

The minor difference in performance won't sway most people. The price difference might.

OK. Sorry for the John Madden-esque comments.

Ill take a S5 over my 335i in a second. I would not think twice about it. The only reason I dont have one is the price.

I cross shopped these 2 for a minute...

S5 came out to be like $15,000+ more. It had the nicest interior of any car under $100k IMO, and it looked great. But the 335i has better performance, significantly better MPG, better warranty, AND it's still $15k+ cheaper!

The difference in looks wasn't worth it to me.

A5 interior smokes M3 interior. but yeah performance wise the 335/m3 is faster but doesn't handle as well.

also the uniqueness of the A5; we don't see them on the roads here but bimmers are a plenty.

Bad thing is finding one. you get jacked on price since there's 40 3's on the lot but only two A5's and maybe one S5 (used) if you are lucky to snipe it.

leasecompare lady said she did a 2000 mile used (titled) S5 lease for about $800/month which you can imagine is what a well equipped E92 335i can run.

+1 The S5 is gorgeous IMO. But the Bimmer is a better buy.

Imagine what a tii/ZHP version would do to the S5. 355hp and proper suspension to match -- no contest.

The best point in that vid is where she giggles (~2:35 into it) while cornering in the 335i. Even if the S5 had been quicker, I doubt it would have won the comparo.

s5

the s5 is the sexiest car i've seen at that price range in a long time. i saw one the other day and was in awe. performance is not bad either and it has quattro which would be nice for central illinois. you will pay a premium for it though.

$1,300 gas guzzler tax... and then people are only getting 14-17mpg on those things. For those stats I'd want the car to be AT LEAST M3 fast.

the s5 is a beautiful car.. almost got into a fender bender b/c of one yesterday.. hahah, it was ibis white and it was stunning.. like seeing jessica alba walking around in booty shorts..

i disagree that the bmw warranty is better than the what audi has to offer.. my audi warranty covered everything except for the wiper blades, they even replaced a tire for me.. my bmw warranty doesn't cover brake pads, rotors, wiper blades, tires..
