Running condition help n52
I bought this 2006 325xi 6spd a year ago with 79k miles on it. I barely drive it because I have other extra car to drive. Today it hit 82K. Another reason I didn't drive it much is because I found the car lack of power. I often time have to shift between 3k-3.5k to catch up the traffic. I can't feel the power util I hit anything above 3K rpm.
Few weeks ago, I had a chance to test drive another 06' 325i with 6spd with over 100k miles on it(completely stock). What A different! I can feel the power started at around 2200 rpm. I think My 325xi is not ruuning right. I don't expect my 325xi to be fast, but mine is just slow. By the way, I have no check engine light and the car idle well. I replaced all spark plugs, air filter, Cleaned the VANOS solenoids. The driving condition was not changed. Yesterday, I have decided to unplug the MAF and see what happen. To my surprise, It runs so much better. I can feel the power as soon as I reach 2000rpm. It drive like the way it supposed to. There is something wrong with my car. What do you guys think I should do next to diagnose the problem further? Any comments are welcome. TIA |

You might try to reset the adaptions.
Several methods are mentioned here. Coding setup or disconnecting the battery . (at the negative terminal) If you do this you will get two errors 4x4 and something else that go away after driving a block or two or turning the steering wheel from stop to stop. Good idea to get the Bimmergeeks cable and software setup for diagnostics and programming it read all BMW codes and there history. http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=368 Last edited by ctuna; 11-03-2017 at 03:28 PM.. |

You have a 6 speed
the adaptations are for the motor and/or the automatic transmission you don't have an automatic. So its just the motor. I don't know which ones specifically. |
