What Tyres F31 340i

My car has now done 30k and needs new tyres.

I am going to ditch the runflats and go for standard tyres but am not sure what to get.

My car is my daily driver and does mainly motorway miles so I dont need tyres that are the top of the pile.

I know the ps4s are supposed to be good but at £800 a set they arent cheap and probably wont do double the mileage of a falken or vredestein?

I mainly need hard wearing for 30k again. Any clear winners out there or is it really personal choice?

Thanks in advance.

30k in a 340i! That’s good going. How you find the fuel economy?

I have Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 3's, great tyres and at £140 each I doubt you could save much by getting midrange tyres like Falken or Vredestein.

Not sure what cost is for you over there..... but I had Conti DWS06s, on my F31. Staggered 18”s and got 35000 miles out of them.

I’ve put 245/35’s on the front too, they fit the wheels much better than 225’s.

I can second this choice. Noticeably quieter and more compliant. Wish I'd done it ages ago. £476 all in - bargain.

so my 335d f31 XD currently has RF which are
225 x 40 x 19 front
255 x 35 x 19 rear

I was going to swap to Mich PS4 in a couple of weeks but I didn't think they did them in my sizes.

Are you suggesting the 245 x 35 x 19 will fit the front?

I have ACS spings so I am about 15-20 mm lower so am worried about the front wheel arches......

Yes they fit perfectly, they're the maximum width tyres allowed on an 8J wheel same as the 255 on the rear are the maximum for the 8.5j wheel.

Thanks
So why do BM put 225s on?

Will the added width of these fronts gives issues from the springs? Anyone done this tyre swap with ACS springs...

Yea they do even on lease cars they moan, I just handed back F10 and they wanted runflats as car was delivered with runflats .

I have just fitted Bridgestones non RFT and fitted 245/40 at front , as teaston mentioned good rim protection way better than 225s, best thing no wheel arch gap
