Battery voltage minimum for dashcam

Hello.

I have purchased a BlackVue dashcam (front and rear cameras) that come with what the vendor calls Power Magic Pro. A device that is connected to car's power system, while the dashcams itself are connected to it. Power Magic monitors car battery's voltage and once it drops below the set minimum, shuts down the dashcam parked mode recording. Otherwise the dashcam is recording constantly even when the car is off.

I will take my G30 to an official BMW dealer to install the dashcam, but I am sure they've never installed a dashcam through things like Power Magic controller.

I will have to tell them which voltage should be set on Power Magic as a trigger to shut off camera.

Could anyone advise on a correct voltage value, below which it is wise to have cam stop draining the power? I want to be sure I can always start the car when I get into it

Thank you very much in advance.

P.S. Available cut-off voltages are:
23.3V
22.8V
12.5V
12V

I have no experience with the device you're installing, but 12.5v should leave you enough power to start the engine. I'd try the 12.5v setting first and see how it performs, if you find it stops recording soon after you turn the car off, then go for the 12v setting.
The 23.3v and 22.8v options are for commercial (24v) vehicles.

Thank you very much for advice.

Unfortunately, I will have a dashcam connected directly to cars power under the torpedo, and it will work only when the car engine is running.

Local dealership in Ukraine basically ran by a single company, and it employees specialists who really "don't want to apply thinking" at all. They simply stated that any other attempt to connect my dascam other then the basic direct connection will result in Warranty void.

They don't even want to think there are devices that monitor battery drain and could provide better user experience without a risk to vehicle's systems.

I sometimes wonder why things with car market is so much better in neighboring Russia (they have connected drive for BMW and similar connected tech for other manufacturers, the dealer market isn't controlled by a single company, etc), but this rhetoric is out of scope =)
